Museum Shop terms
These terms explain how a purchase request works in the ATRIUM Museum Shop. They do not take a payment and they do not confirm a sale.
1. Seller
The seller is SIA “BALTIC SURVEY”, registration No. 40103349018, VAT No. LV40103349018, registered address: Baltāsbaznīcas iela 34-31, Rīga, LV-1015, Latvia.
These details were checked against the Latvian Enterprise Register before publication. The company is registered and the VAT number is the one shown above. Contact: info@atriumart.net.
ATRIUM Digital Museum is the name of the museum operated by this seller.
2. A request is not an order
“Request purchase” asks ATRIUM to consider selling the listed physical work at the price shown on its card.
The request is not a payment, does not reserve the work, and is not confirmation of an order. ATRIUM confirms a sale only after it has checked that the work is available and has sent payment instructions which the buyer then follows.
The price is the published price of that offer. The buyer cannot choose a different amount in the request. Shipping is calculated separately and is not included in the card price.
3. The work
The card shows the title, artist, ATRIUM registration number, type, size, material and technique when they are recorded, signature, framing, edition, price and availability.
If a fact is not shown, it was not recorded for that published offer. A physical artistic print is a registered print. It is not automatically the only original of the photograph.
4. Cancelling a request
Before ATRIUM confirms the sale, the buyer may cancel the request by writing to info@atriumart.net. No fee is charged for cancelling an unconfirmed request.
ATRIUM may also close a request if the work is no longer available. Closing a request does not by itself change the published stock.
5. Withdrawal after a confirmed sale
When a consumer buys at a distance, the 14-day right of withdrawal in Directive 2011/83/EU and the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Law runs from the day the buyer receives the physical work, unless a statutory exception applies and ATRIUM explained that exception before the contract.
A signed, framed or limited artistic print is not treated as non-returnable only because it is a work of art.
An exception can apply only where the law allows it, for example where the work is made to the consumer’s own specifications or is clearly personalised, and only if ATRIUM told the buyer about that exception before the contract.
The buyer withdraws by writing to info@atriumart.net within 14 days of receiving the work. ATRIUM refunds the price paid for the work, and a standard delivery charge if one was paid, within 14 days of the notice. ATRIUM may wait to refund until it receives the work back or proof that it was sent. The buyer pays the direct cost of returning the work, unless ATRIUM failed to say so before the contract or agrees to bear that cost.
6. Complaints and disputes
Write to info@atriumart.net with the registration number and a description of the problem. If the work does not match the published description, ATRIUM offers the remedy consumer law requires, such as repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund.
A consumer may also contact the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (Patērētāju tiesību aizsardzības centrs), Brīvības iela 55, Rīga, LV-1010, https://www.ptac.gov.lv.
Latvian law applies. A consumer keeps the mandatory protections of the country where they live and may use the courts European Union law makes available, including the courts of their own domicile. This does not remove the right to bring a claim in Latvia.
7. Personal data
The name, email, message and request details are handled as described in the Privacy Policy at /legal/privacy. The request form asks the buyer to confirm that notice before the request is sent.
