City Beneath the Clouds

Every city has two faces.

One is familiar—filled with the rhythm of everyday life, bright lights, and the hurried footsteps of passers-by.

The other reveals itself only when clouds gather overhead. The light softens, colours deepen, and familiar streets begin to tell stories that often go unnoticed.

This exhibition invites you to experience Riga in those rare moments when the ordinary becomes extraordinary. Architecture, light, sky, and human presence come together to create a poetic portrait of the city—one that reveals itself gradually, step by step.

The exhibition has been designed as an unhurried walk. From first impressions and chance encounters, the journey leads toward the city's enduring symbols before arriving at its final destination: a sunrise breaking through a heavy sky. It does not erase the clouds; it simply reminds us that light is always waiting beyond them.

Perhaps, when you leave this gallery, you will see familiar streets a little differently.
