About ATRIUM
ATRIUM is a digital museum of visual art where exhibitions become spaces to enter, explore and remember.
Founded in Riga in 2026, ATRIUM was created from a simple idea: visual art deserves more than a place on a screen.
A photograph can be viewed in seconds.
An exhibition needs time.
ATRIUM brings together art, architecture, light, sound and movement to create digital exhibitions that can be experienced from anywhere in the world.
A museum without borders
ATRIUM has no physical address and no geographical audience.
Artists may come from different countries, cultures and generations. Visitors may enter from Riga, Seoul, Paris, Tokyo or Buenos Aires.
What connects them is the exhibition itself.
The museum is digital.
The encounter with art is real.
Built around the artist
Every exhibition begins with an artist and a body of work.
ATRIUM provides the space around it — a digital architecture in which sequence, scale, distance, light and movement become part of the exhibition.
The artist remains the author.
Technology remains in the background.
Its purpose is not to demonstrate what technology can do, but to help the work speak more clearly.
From Riga to the world
ATRIUM was founded in Riga, Latvia, in 2026 by photographer Deniss Volodins.
What began as an exploration of how photography could exist differently in a digital environment grew into the idea of an independent international museum for visual art.
ATRIUM is being built step by step together with artists, visitors and collaborators from different places.
Riga is where it began.
It does not define where it can go.
The next exhibition
ATRIUM is not intended to become an archive of everything.
It is a curated museum.
We are interested in photography and visual art with an author's voice — individual works, coherent series and projects that can become meaningful exhibitions.
